With a petition that contains more than 2200 signatures, close to 500+ concerned group members in the Facebook group and much of Langley openly against the clear cutting and the high density development of Brookswood, how is the Township Council going to Vote? In support of the developers or in support of the residents?
If they ignore the documented objections of the residents of Brookswood and elsewhere in Langley then it would raise more suspicions that they have been firmly bought by the developers. This is becoming more and more clear over the Coulter Berry development in Fort Langley. If the Township Council is not going to listen to the Fort Langley residents even after a successful B.C. Supreme Court decision (lawyers paid for by the citizens of Langley btw) against them, this after they tried to change the bylaw just to suit the developer?? Then you kind of get to know who's side they are on...
Words like corruption, bias, conflict of interest, favoritism, and paid-off by developers are being whispered by many around Langley and these whispers are directed at the Mayor and most of Council.
And they are getting louder...
Kind of a Dukes of Hazard, Boss Hogg type of thing but without the comedy...
